Admits having drunk “too much” wine at the council's expense

The City Council Department for the Environment and Transport had a workshop at the Kleivstua hotel with the top managers of, among others, Ruter, Sporveien and Viken last autumn. Photo: Kleivstua
The city council department visited both Kleivstua hotel and Oscarsborg hotel & & resort last autumn. Now they take self-criticism for the amount of wine that was put on the joint bill.

” Kleivstua Hotell is a great forest hotel with a magnificent location only 45 km from Oslo.” This is how the 4-star hotel is described where 17 people spent one day in September last year.

On the guest list we find several employees from the city council’s department for the environment and transport, including city councilor Sirin Stav (MDG) . Paint also senior managers in, among others, Vestfjorden Avløpsselskap (VEAS), Viken county municipality, Sporveien and Ruter. During the evening, a four-course dinner will be consumed, as well as 12 bottles of white wine, five bottles of red wine and three bottles of prosecco. In total, this amounts to 20 bottles of wine – i.e. more than one bottle of wine per individual. This shows the invoice from the stay, which Aftenposten has seen. Now the city council department admits that a mistake has been made.
