Today in Split, in the large hall of the Meštrović Gallery, the reconstruction project of the Marjan hotel was presented to the public. The project was presented to the gathered journalists by Tomislav Popović, President of the Management Board of Maistra, Silvije Novak and Zorislav Petrić. from the architectural studio 3LHD and Armando Vičić, president of the management board of Adris’ company – Abilije.
Speaking about Adris’ investments in tourism so far, Popović pointed out that Adris Group is one of the biggest investors in Croatian tourism. In accordance with his vision of developing luxury tourism and investing in the highest category facilities, Adris has so far invested almost one billion euros, and by 2025 he plans to invest an additional 480 million euros in that part of his business, he says. in the press release.
With this, says Popović, Maistra will become the largest national tourism company in the luxury segment, positioned in growing and internationally recognized destinations – Rovinj, Dubrovnik and Zagreb, and with the reconstruction of the Marjan hotel in Split. Along with the renovation of the Panorama and Westin hotels in Zagreb, the investment in the renovation of the Marjan hotel, worth more than 100 million euros, will be one of the largest single investments in Croatian tourism, said Popović, adding at the end that “we will do everything to, in cooperation with all interested parties , as well as the support and patience of the citizens, Split will get a hotel like this graduate deserves’.
What will the renovated Marjan hotel look like, what are the urban settings and what facilities will it offer, said Silvije Novak and Zorislav Petrić from the architectural Studio 3LHD. Along with the visualization of the architectural solution, Novak pointed out that “the concept of the complete reconstruction of hotel Marjan retains all the urban settings of the original project by Lovro Perković“.
He also stated that it consists of a horizontal three-story base with two atriums around which the public spaces of the hotel line up and a vertical that retains the functions defined by the original project. The project was conceived in several points, the ultimate goal of which is to fit the building into the views of the city as much as possible – creating a pedestrian connection with neighboring plots, opening the atrium to bring light to the ground floor, ensuring an optimal view of the tower, adding attractive contents to the roof, activating the ground floor and connecting with the urban fabric of the West Bank.
Upon completion of the renovation, hotel Marjan will be of 5-star category and will have 285 accommodation units, they state in the press release. It will be spread over a total of 15 floors: from the basement, through the ground floor, which together with two floors and the roof floor make up the base of the hotel, and the verticals of the tower.
Studio 3LHD from Zagreb is responsible for the architectural project of the Marjan hotel, and Lissoni Architettura from Milan, with whom Adris also realized the construction of the Grand Park hotel in Rovinj, for the interior of the hotel. ) source
