A friend from his party died “of a heart attack” on Thursday last week , and the rich politician died two days later, Daily Mail reports.
This is another in a series of mysterious deaths of Russian billionaires since the invasion of Ukraine began.

The prophet’s friend, who died two days earlier, was Vladimir Budanov (61), also Russian, and according to the police, it was a heart attack. There were two other unidentified men in the group.
– There was a four-member tourist group that stayed in a hotel in Rajagada – diplomat Idamkin said.
Russian media SHOT said that the Indian police “do not rule out the possibility that Pavel Antov may have become depressed over the death of his friend and committed suicide”.
Who was Antov?
The married tycoon, Pavel Antov, was a member of the Legislative Assembly of the Vladimir region, listed as the highest-earning elected official of Russia in 2019.
In 2019, his reported annual earnings were listed as €147 million in an analysis conducted by Russian Forbes.
This led to him being named the country’s richest MP by earnings.
Antov is survived by his wife and daughter.
