He was multimillionaire from Proputin’s main United Russia party, and he traveled to India to celebrate his upcoming 66th birthday.
A friend from his party died “of a heart attack” on Thursday last week , and the rich politician died two days later, Daily Mail reports.
This is another in a series of mysterious deaths of Russian billionaires since the invasion of Ukraine began.
By the way, Antov criticized President Vladimir Putin’s current war in Ukraine. Thus, in June, he called the airstrikes on Kiev Russian “terror” that wounded Ukrainian civilians. He then referred to the Russian missile attack and said: “The girl was pulled out from under the rubble, it seems that her father was killed.”
– They are trying to pull out the mother with a crane, she is trapped under the panel. To be honest, it is extremely difficult to call this anything other than terror – Antov said then about the Russian missile attack.
Apparently Antov then soon came under intense pressure, after which he retracted the comment, complied, and apologized. He, as reported by the Daily Mail, later spoke out and claimed that his post on social media was an “unfortunate misunderstanding” and a “technical error.”
He insisted that he “always supported the president” and “sincerely supported the goals of Putin’s military operation”, but local journalists strongly disputed this.
“Indian media: He jumped from the hotel roof”
Indian media on they claim that the Russian meat magnate “jumped” from the roof of the hotel and that his body was found in a pool of blood.
Russian Consul General in Calcutta, Alexei Idamkin, told TASS that Antov “fell out” of a hotel window in Rajagadha, Odisha state.
– We are following the investigation closely and we are getting all the information from the police – said the diplomat.
His Indian guide rushed him to the hospital, but the doctor pronounced him dead.
The prophet’s friend, who died two days earlier, was Vladimir Budanov (61), also Russian, and according to the police, it was a heart attack. There were two other unidentified men in the group.
– There was a four-member tourist group that stayed in a hotel in Rajagada – diplomat Idamkin said.
Russian media SHOT said that the Indian police “do not rule out the possibility that Pavel Antov may have become depressed over the death of his friend and committed suicide”.
