The memorandum of understanding was signed in the green room of Palazzo Chigi by the two ministers and Cna Turismo, Confindustria Alberghi, Assohotel Confesercenti, Gruppo Una Spa, Federalberghi and Federturismo. The initiative provides shelter from three days to a week for women victims of violence, together with their children, at the end of their journey in the anti-violence centres.
” Violence against women gets worse every day – explains Minister Santanché -. And the abuse often takes place in the family. After the recovery process, we thought of hosting these women in hotels to give them a moment of unwind and get them back to normal life”. “Despite the good laws we have not yet managed to counteract this phenomenon with impressive numbers”, continues Minister Roccella. On the part of the government, he adds, “there is unity and a common will to tackle this problem”, “since the Budget Law” and “with all the delegations present in the various ministries”.
