On Wednesday, March 8, in event of International Women’s Day, and in the spirit of accepting equity, a few of the very best and brightest artists and innovative minds in Southern California collected at the age-old hotel Cafe in Hollywood, California to share tunes, stories and laughs while shining a light on some extraordinary women-run companies doing terrific work.
Emceeing the procedures was Gena B. Wow’ ing customers were theatrical tough rocker Christina Chriss, accompanied by Kaleido bandmate Joey Fava on anthems “Watch Me Walk Away” and “Pretending,” and well-known songwriter Hannah Avison( Lauv, Ava Max, Fletcher, Jordin Sparks), who was carrying out live for the very first time in 11 years. As the last notes to her EDM-tinged hit “Monster” sounded out, smiles and applause lit the space.
