Leandro Marcos, with two hours 17 minutes and 42 seconds, from the Cuba B team, knew how to avoid a massive fall some 200 meters from the finish line and crossed the finishing line first in the Camagüey-Ciego de Ávila stage, in the First Cycling Tour to the Center, run this Tuesday over 106 kilometers.

After the experienced Marcos, leader of the still young tour, his teammates Jan Carlos Hernández entered, who is second in the basic private classification and Alejandro Parra.

The flying goal at kilometer 31 (La Vallita) was dominated by Ricardo Cardoso (CUB-B), followed by Serguei Fernández from Ciego de Avila and Daivis Suárez, from Mayabeque.

The one at kilometer 36 (Florida) was dominated by Fernández himself. Jenny Gregorio (SS) and Ricardo Cardoso (CUB-B) passed the wheel.

As predicted from the beginning, the stage was difficult, according to several of the protagonists, due to the cross air that forced the riders to submit to great efforts, since it was not possible for them to make a stair formation and there are many curbs and the peloton splits up, as happened this time.

For today a 35-kilometre specific time trial is scheduled, starting in front of the Morón hotel and the finish line at the Roberto Castañeda cycling academic community, in the capital city. 61st anniversaries of the Union of Young Communists and the 62nd of the José Martí Pioneers Organization.
