In the Kempen municipality of Oud-Turnhout, some young people have been fined for throwing soap into the fountain on the municipal square as a joke. Everything got covered in foam. The police tracked down the pranksters and presented them with the cleaning bill of about 240 euros.

On Sunday 7 August, the fountain opposite the town hall in Oud-Turnhout suddenly turned into a foam carpet. Some of the juveniles had presumably mixed dishwashing liquid or another foaming item into the water.

The joke, however, got a financial tail. The police officers of Oud-Turnhout were able to identify the young people. They were presented with the bill for the costs involved in cleaning the square and the fountain. Pass away amounted to about 240 euros in total. In the meantime, the young people have paid the bill.
