Joe Biden shook hands with President Jokowi when he arrived at Apurva, Kempinski hotel.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BADUNG — The President of the United States (US), Joe Biden arrived at the location of the G20 Summit in Apurva, Kempinski hotel, Nusa Dua, Badung Regency, Bali Province, Tuesday (15 /11/2022). In a live broadcast from Apurva, Biden’s entourage came to the location of the G20 Summit at around 10.00 WITA.
As soon as they got off from the car, he followed the red carpeted pathway to the lobby, where President Joko Widodo greeted his guests. In the video that was broadcast, President Biden’s right hand can be seen raising his right hand to his forehead, as if greeting President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) while smiling faintly.
Jokowi smiled at Biden, they then shook hands while talking. Not long after, they took a photo in front of a backdrop with the words “G20 Indonesia 2022”. Biden arrived when almost all the guests were already in the courtroom.

Before Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping came to Apurva around 09.31 WITA, which also received a warm welcome from President Jokowi. French President Emmanuel Macron came earlier than Xi Jinping and Biden. He briefly hugged Jokowi before taking a photo.
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, wearing a white tunic, arrived in Apurva at around 9.15 WITA. India will serve as the next chairman of the G20, after Indonesia. Heads of state, heads of government, and leaders of international organizations arrive at the location of the G20 Summit in Nusa Dua, Bali, starting at 08.00 WITA.
