From Felleskjøpet to Michelin Restaurant
It is the renowned Stavanger- the architect, Eilert Smith, who designed this iconic functionalist building that formerly housed Rogalan Felleskjøp. After an extensive renovation, the building was transformed into a vibrant and modern hotel that opened for guests in 2019. By then they had also got the spectacular Michelin restaurant, RE-NAA (two stars) on board.

No dining hall food is served in the room
From the time we arrived at Sola airport, it didn’t take many minutes before we were parked outside the Eilert Smith hotel. There we were met by the hotel host, Hanne. After a pleasant and quick check-in, we were each assigned a mobile code that also served as a key card. A somewhat non-traditional way of doing it is painted clever, modern and efficient when the hotel does not have a receptionist present at all times.
The rooms are very well thought out with their own kitchen solutions, clean and with several good technical solutions. The hotel does not have its own dining room, guys they make good arrangements so that meals can be served in the rooms. We bachelor’s degree for breakfast and were served perfect scrambled eggs, salmon, freshly baked bread and incredibly good coffee which contributed to a particularly good start to the day.
