The closing ceremony and awarding of certificates to participants of the Sparkasse entrepreneurial academy for small and medium-sized enterprises was held in the hotel Evropa in Sarajevo. This successfully ended this year’s cycle of free education for businessmen in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar, organized in partnership with Sparkasse Banka BiH, EFSE (European Fund for Southeast Europe) and audit and consulting firm Deloitte. Through nine workshops of the Sparkasse entrepreneurial academy, around 80 small and medium-sized businessmen from Sarajevo, Mostar and Banja Luka acquired concrete, applied knowledge that can bring additional value to their business. Renowned experts from Deloitte and digital marketing experts from Lilium shared their knowledge with the participants of the academy, and the program is supported by the European Union through EFSE, which represents Finance in Motion in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mejra Juzbašić-Bajgorić, regional director of Finance in Motion, expressed her satisfaction in front of EFSE for the successful partnership with Sparkasse Bank and Deloitte at the entrepreneurial academy, and confirmed her commitment to the development of entrepreneurship and socially responsible financing in BiH.
Academy participants were educated on tools for successful business management in the post-pandemic digital world, adapting business models to the “new normal”, smart use of digital marketing and distribution channels to increase revenue in the global economy, and the recognition and management of business risks. At the solemn ceremony, the participants of the academy were presented with certificates, and a panel discussion was held in which the organizers of the academy and clients took part. Igor Jokić, a member of the board of Sparkasse Banka, emphasized the strategic determination of this bank that, in addition to its core activity, it also supports small and medium-sized businesses, which generate about 70% of business activity and it is crucial for the creation of new jobs and the sustainable development and growth of the BiH economy.
