The Madrid Edition, the most 'design' hotel in Madrid, celebrates one year (and this is all it offers)

Everyone who is someone in Madrid closed on Sunday April 24 of last year leaving through the doors of The Madrid Edition. Throughout that weekend different events had been held that invigorated the life of the capital and gave a glimpse of what the hotel would become: more than a place to sleep, a social and cultural meeting point for tourists and areas.

Coordinated under the baton of Ian Schrager, the design of the space combines the simple elegance of the British architect (ADVERTISEMENT100) John Pawson and the initial and artistic spirit of François Champsaur

In addition to 200 rooms in which oak wood is combined with cream tones for elevated elegance, the hotel offers two signature restaurants, a speakeasy, a lobby bar, meeting and event rooms; and a night room that will open in September. An injection of novelty for a city in which leisure increasingly passes through the lobby of a luxury hotel.

Now history repeats itself. After 52 weeks in which they have consolidated their position both in the design and gastronomic scene, The Madrid Edition has remained a benchmark offering its clients a bathroom of experiences in its different spaces that are constantly expanding. We review everything the hotel can offer you. During this weekend, a selection of actions will be carried out with a focus on gastronomy. Events, dinners and exclusive meetings in a designer environment, the perfect cake to gain strength and celebrate many more years.

The Madrid Edition: a leisure center inside a hotel

When the Edition opened its doors, Ian Schrager told us that it was “a microcosm of the best that Madrid has to offer” and that its offer captured “perfectly the spirit and essence of the city”. After one lap around the sun, not only has this statement held true, but the offer has been (and will continue to be) expanded. We review the offer of The Madrid Edition in 2023.

The restaurants and bars of The Madrid Edition

Jerónimo

The jewel in the Edition’s crown is a Mexican restaurant full of designer pieces: Jerónimo. Behind the stove is the highly renowned Mexican chef Enrique Olvera, known for having created Pujol, considered the best restaurant in all of Mexico and one of the 50 best in the world.

Access to the restaurant is through the famous baroque portico that crowns its entrance. The architectural detail was designed by Pedro de Ribera in the 18th century for a nearby building, and has been rescued and incorporated into the Edition building.
