Aiming to stimulate private investment in the tourism sector, Fatim-Zahra Ammor today signed, together with Mohcine Jazouli, a Memorandum of Understanding with the Barcelo Group, consisting of the acquisition and renovation of several hotels in Morocco in order to give them new life and enrich the hotel offer of our country.
The Minister inaugurated, the same day, the Barcelo Tanger hotel, a historic property dating from 1950 and which is getting a new look. offer a new experience to travellers. In addition to its strategic location facing the Mediterranean and its proximity to amenities and the main tourist sites of the city of Tangier, the Barcelo Tanger will enrich the bedding capacity of Tangier-Assilah by 400 additional beds to reach an overall capacity of 17,600 beds.
