Three individuals are dead in an obvious murder-suicide after shooting appeared outside a Maryland hotel on Friday afternoon, authorities stated.
A shooter opened fire on a males and female on the 2000 block of Somerville Road in Annapolis a little after 2 p.m., Anne Arundel County authorities Lt. Jacklyn Davis informed press reporters.
The shooter then turned the weapon on himself and he and the lady were noticable dead on the scene, Davis stated.
The male victim drove himself a brief range prior to somebody called 911 and he was required to a healthcare facility where he passed away, Davis included.
” What this was not … it was not an active shooting,” Davis stated. “It was a targeted event. There is no risk to the general public as our suspect is deceased.”
The 3 dead were not right away recognized and authorities could not rapidly state how the shooter and victims may have understood each other.
” Today we senselessly lost 3 people to weapon violence in our county. We’re much better than this,” stated Police Chief Amal Awad.
